- Action Is (click for details)

This typeface has become one of the most popular freeware fonts on the net,
and is often nicknamed the "Austin Powers" font due to its obvious 60's
feel.
I'd noticed it in use on a title page for a souvenir photo album of pictures
from the mid-60's TV show "Where The Action Is". (I work for Steve Alaimo,
who co-hosted the show.)
After pencil-tracing and modifying the letters to form a complete alphabet,
the sketches were sent to Brad Nelson of Brain Eaters Font Co. for
fine-tuning and scanning into a digital font.
According to Brad, the posting of the font at Stu's Font Diner (where he
also has his own font section) resulted in over 5000 downloads.
Since then, we have learned of another use of the font; as the title of
the best-selling book "Coffee, Tea or Me?". It seems the original font had
a lower-case set, which I had not been aware of. I do not know the name of
the original design, but our font has obviously been reconstructed with
original letter forms taking the place of missing characters.
Now, with the assistance of Ray Larabie, I bring you "Action Is JL"
(the original) and the variations "Diagonal", "Wider" and "Wide Diagonal".

- Action Is: The Sequel (click for details)

The pencil sketch for the "Action Is" typeface
was sent to Brad at Brain Eaters by Jeff Levine,
(who works for Steve Alaimo the former singer who
co-hosted "Where The Action Is" in the 1960s).
A souvenir photo album from the show had the
title displayed in these letters, and Jeff made a
pencil tracing, making adaptions for the missing
characters and punctuation. Brad took and refined
the sketches and created the font.
Nicknamed the "Austin Powers"-style font by
collectors, "Action Is" reflects the flower power
of the 60's and early 70s. Being the "Austin Powers"
sequel is now in the theaters, it seemed only right
for a sequel to the original "Action Is" font.
Jeff did the remix for this version.

- Baby Kruffy (click for details)

As Pac-Man is to Junior Pac, Baby Kruffy is to Kruffy. To be 110% honest with you, I don't always like all the fonts I make. Sometimes I just get so excited to put new fonts out for you, that I rush 'em. Oh yeah, I'll say it. So I took a little extra time with this one. Its nice and smooth like a baby's behind, not all rugged like the big papa. Plus, tons of euro characters and math symbols!
